Last Will and Testament of James B. Bevil

I, James B. Bevil, being of sound mind do declare this to be my will as
to the disposition of my property after my death.
Item 1st: I bequeath all my property of every kind both real and
personal to my wife, Ann Bevil, for and during her natural life, she to
dispose of the profits as she may see proper.
Item 2nd: I will that after my wife's death that all my property be
sold, except one half acre where the graveyard is, that to be reserved
perpetually for burying ground, and after sold to be equally divided
between my children or their representatives, share and share alike.
Item 3rd: I will that after my will is probated, that there will be no
inventory or appraisement, or returns made during my wife's lifetime.
Item 4th: I appoint my son, John B. Bevil and W.S. Ballard, as my
executors to take charge and wind up my estate after my wife's death and
pay her funeral expenses.

Signed, sealed, declared and published by James B. Bevil as his last
will and testament in the presence of the undersigned subscribers who
subscribe our names thereto in the presence of said testator and of each
other he signing in our presence and we in his presence.

Before me came W.M. Hartley named as a witness to the within writing
purporting to be the last will and testament of James B. Bevil, who
being duly sworn says that he with E. McKinley and W.L. McKinley at the
request of James B. Bevil and in his presence and in the presence of
each other did attest and witness the within writing as the last will
and testament of James B. Bevil that same was signed and published by
James B. Bevil as his last will in their presence that he was at the
time of said signing and attestation of sound and disposing mind and
memory that he executed the within paper voluntarily.
