I am researching the Caldwell/Colwell name in Pike County. What I know is my mother, Pearl Lena Caldwell, was born in Concord on January 12, 1934. Her father, Otis Bishop Caldwell, was born in Concord on April 24, 1900. His father John Caldwell was born in or around Concord in May of 1870. His father Isom Caldwell/Colwell was born in or around Concord about 1823. What I am trying to do is trace my ancestors before Isom or(Isam/Isham)Caldwell/Colwell. They also had living with them a woman by the name of Sousan (possibly Isom's mother), who was 60 years old in 1870.
