JOHN GOSSETT - Early Pioneer Settler of Pike County

John GOSSETT, JR. was born in 1777 in South Carolina.

His father, John GOSSETT, SR, a Revolutionary War Soldier, served in Colonel John Stewart's Regiment of Georgia (Georgia's Roster of The Revolution, Knight) He died at Edgefield County, South Carolina in 1817.

John GOSSETT, JR came to Georgia from Edgefield County, South Carolina after the death of his father and settled in Pike County.

Some of his children were John GOSSET, Ellis GOSSET, and Susannah GOSSETT.

Susannah GOSSETT married Warrenton WARREN at Pike County Georgia 25 March 1832. The Warrens of Pike County were also from Edgefield County, South Carolina.
