Friendship Presbyterian Church in on Pedenville Rd., which turns off of the
road running between Concord and Hollonville, in Pike Co. GA. The
cemetery has a stone outside its gates inscribed "David Perrin Blake
Memorial Cemetery, Dec. 1896-Feb. 1981, Never to be Forgotten".
To the memory of Lucilla Stanly, wife of D.H. Peden, youngest daughter of
Stephen and Jane M. Jones, born June 9, 1821; died June 30, 1852
Here lies the remains of Alpheus O. Peden, died Dec. 13, 1861; aged 18 years
Sacred to the memory of Leonidas Lutius Peden, born Feb. 21st?, 1846 and
departed this life Oct. 7th, 1847, aged 1 year, 7 months and 14 days

In memory of (Mason's seal) J.B. Nelson who was murdered when asleep on his
bed in his own house and his money taken on the night of the 18th of Jan.
1872, aged 30 years. He was (stone broken here) and respected by all who
know him.
A few miles from the present church and cemetery is the original cemetery.
It is at the corner of Bottoms and West Rd. Bottoms Rd. is off of Hwy. 18
between Concord and Zebulon. Several large ground level crypts remain but
inscriptions are gone. One stone is enclosed in an iron fence and is still
legible. It reads as follows:
In memory of Mrs. Jane M. Jones, wife of (?)hen Jones, born Mar? 4th 1794,
departed this life Oct. 12, 1849.

In memory of Andrew S. Peden, fell at Winchester, VA, Sept. 19, 1861; aged
21 (or 24?) years; remains not recovered
