thats only a few autographs as I am still trying to decipher the writing of a few laugh.gif
Die hards - Anti Treaty those who rejected the treaty of 1921 and the partition of Ireland and of course the oath
Staters - Pro Treaty
The main objection was the oath
"I... do solemnly swear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of the Irish Free State as by law established, and that I will be faithful to His Majesty King George V, his heirs and successors by law in virtue of the common citizenship of Ireland with Great Britain and her adherence to and membership of the group of nations forming the British Commonwealth of nations"

I really enjoyed that. They seem so passionate...nothing at all like my mother's autograph book. Or mine for that matter. At least they had a cause they all firmly believed in...and hey they seem to be mostly boys....which should tell you something about your grandmother.
Got any pictures of her you can share?

Its interesting, and historically significant. They all wrote little bits of poetry, and if they didn't "write" it themselves, it is still a definate indicator of the times.
