I was just wondering what other genealogy community type websites (forums, etc.) people frequently visit. AC is at the top of my list; I also visit Yahoo Answers in the Genealogy section to answer some questions periodically (typically for beginners); and then I of course spend some time on our own family message board to see if there is anything new.

What other interesting sites have people come across where there's a community feel, posting back and forth, answering questions, etc?

I have yet to find one with a community feel...thats why I started AC

heck even the roots web lists/boards have people complaining it you try to talk about anything other than "looking for information"

I agree! I'm also a member of the Gen-newbie through roots web and there are times I feel out of my league even though it is for "newbies". I've seen some postings that were quite snappy when a request or posting wasn't just so. I stay on because I have gotten some good advice.

I like this forum a lot better because our personality can shine through. And I'm not as embaresed about stupid questions and misspelling tongue.gif
