My great great grandmother was Henrietta Wheeler. I am looking for information about her father and mother. Henrietta was born in 1865 in Texas; her father, WT, was born in Alabama in 1839. I don't know what WT stands for.
Henrietta's mother was named Ruth. Ruth was born in New York State. That is all I know about her.

Ok I found them in the 1870 census, he is listed as William Wheeler (my guess is that his middle name was Thomas) He is listed with ruth and henrietta age 5 and a william age 3.
It states WT was born in TN and ruth was born in Tex, which contradicts the other information you posted
In the 1880 it lists him with Ruth

and it says he was born in Alabama, and his parents were born in TN and that Ruth was born in Tx and her parents were born in NY

Where did you find this? I have looked on Ancestry...I dont' know if I'm looking in the wrong spot or if you found it elsewhere and it's driving me crazy....

I found them on ancestry by searching that years census for Ruth Wheeler in Tx
