All guests are welcome to view *most* of the board (they cant see all of it) and read the postings, but if you want to be able to contribute or post a query you must take just a few minutes and register a username and password.

All new members are in the "newbie" group, and their posts are put into a moderation que and will not be visible to anyone but the Admins unless they are approved. We are doing this for one very important reason....Spammers

This is a genealogy board.....we do not care about male enhancement, pictures of unclothed person, or free IPODS etc, unfortunately the nature of a "message board" is a beacon to people who think we DO care and they will post in any forum to try to get their spam "out there".

In order to save the faint of heart from running into something like this we moderate new members until they have proved they are here for the sake of Genealogy.

We hope you will understand and not take it personally if you ARE here for genealogy and your first posts do not show up automatically. All new accounts will be advanced to full member status after review by our admins

I would like to add, that we have added an upload forum for you to share your documents that you have gathered over the years and for family files. This is only available to registered members that have been verified and moved to the "members" group.

This means that guests or those in the newbie group cannot access it in order to keep out the "spam"
