I am looking for any assistance or contact concerning Thomas W Sims and family that lived in Cherokee County Alabama in 1850. His wife, Sarah Hawthorne b. 1816 d. 1899. Thomas is believed to be b. 1803. d. before 1970? He is not found in the census and his wife was found living with Geo Sims in Lincoln County, Tn
in 1880. Thomas children--James/ Jane/ Cordelia/ Rachael/ John/ Lani/ George/ Dennis--these are the only ones I have found so far. I do not know if he married for the first time with Sarah or if he already had grown children by the 1850 census. It is believed he was born in South Carolina. Any help on this family would be greatly appreciated. I descend from James Sims. This has been my brick wall unable to break for over a year. It took 4 years to find Thomas. If you are connected I would be glad and willing to share information. Any lead is greatly appreciated.
