Hiya, this is a very long shot in the dark but My grt grt grandad names above jumped ship in America around 1910 - 1920 unsure exactly when. Does anybody have any ideas as I have come up stum.

His d.o.b was 05 September 1875, b Liverpool England, was a marine fireman on board the ship he worked on.

He was married in Liverpool, but there was no trace of him, his brothers told my grt grt grt nan that they didnt see him after they docked.

Unsure if maybe his older brother lived in america, but we also think that his younger brother jumoed ship a few years lata also.

We have some Roach ancestors. I find them in SC usually around Anderson. I believe they were in NC before that and Virginia before that. So you might try looking in any of those areas.
The earliest I have is Henry Roach born about 1710 in Virginia.
Perhaps your guy might have joined the family already here in one of these places
