Dr. M. Estes ; Shreveport; Missouri 01-27-1866

We are informed by the editor of the News that Dr.M. Estes, well known as the "M.E."correspondent of the paper at Shreveport during the war, is preparing a history of the Missouri campain of 1864 from official documents. This history will doubtless be one of the greatest interest and value, and we trust the author will meet with the most liberal encouragement on the part of the public -- Telegraph.
