I just downloaded a GEDCOM for my research! There is a surname index, too!GEDCOM Library

I can honestly say I've never seen that site! Wonder if it is still being maintained? A lot of the links I tried to use no longer exist sad.gif

Well, I didn't go too deep. I did download a GEDCOM and appended it into FamilyTreeMaker without any problem...about 900 records.

I did try posting to a few inquiries, but the whole thing is awkward.

By-the-by, I think I would be interested in putting my genealogy on a webpage on this server, but one does not exist yet. I noticed that your invitation was to MIGRATE an existing webpage, not newly created.

If you know how to build one yourself, I have no problem with giving you some space. My offer wasnt for "new" sites because people would think I would make them lol and I have too many of my own to maintain.

If you can do all the html yourself let me know and I can set you up with an page. Your URL would be an extension of ancestrallychallenged.com

(John, just wanted to see if you saw my last reply?)

Yes, but I don't do well with programming.
I also work 3rd shift and do most of the internet thing on weekends.
