QUOTE
This auction is for the original antique, early Victorian 1844 Family Bible that belonged to the venerable DeRevere / VanTassel family of Sleepy Hollow (Tarrytown), New York for over one hundred fifty years, the latter immortalized by Washington Irving; with geneological entries recording scores of marriages, births & deaths, some with lesser known surnames; the earliest of the former being: Abraham De Revere as born March 6th, 1797 and the latest, under deaths, being: Fannetta Geneviere Purdy March 8th 1927. Many of these entries now lie in the Old Dutch Church Burying Ground of Sleepy Hollow, opposite the "Headless Horseman Bridge" on modern route 9, formerly The Old Albany Post Road, an extention of New York's Broadway.

I def would have bought it for the 9.99 but there is no way of telling what the reserve was set for, it was prob pretty high, it got up to 20.50 before bidding ended and the reserve still hadnt been met

Right? I don't like the whole "reserve" thing. If they hope to meet a certain price, they should just set the bidding higher! That way, if they don't get bids, they know to lower their starting bid next time. Well, I'm going to check back and see if the item is going again.
