Hi,
I am totally addicted to Genealogy. I am forever climbing the tree and hanging out on the branches with new family members that I have found. I am blessed with almost 20,000 family members in my trees which still needs lots of information.

I am researching my Smith's on my mother's side (Dad had some too). They are like the sand on the sea shore. Many grains.

I have been researching Richard and Alsey (lnukn) Smith for ten years. In that frame of time I have been unable to prove Alsey's maiden name. It is possible that it is Adcock. I do know that Richard Smith died in the Mexican War and that Alsey drew a pension until her death in 1897. She appears on the 1850 Hickman Co. Tn. Census with Six of her nine children.Later her son John is in Humphreys Co. Tn. and dies there in 1933.I have been unable to find the location of death and cemetery she is buried in. Her descendants are scattered through Ms. Tn.,Oh.,Az.,Mi.,Fl.,Ga. I am descended from her son Thomas Newton Smith.

Do you know my Alsey?
