Looking for information about John C. Huey, born May 1861 in Cherokee County, GA. Married twice, once to Lizzy Hawkins (born Abt. 1861) and then about 1882 he married Martha A. ? (born Oct. 1863). I have his parents, John T. & Drusilla Wilson Huey, and one of his sons, Amos Monroe Huey and Sultie M. Kemp Huey, buried in the Bascomb Methodist Church Cemetery along with many cousins and other ancestors....but John C. Huey is AWOL.
He appears to show up in the 1880 Cherokee County, GA Census as John O. Huey in the home of John T.:

Nope.
Think he was abducted by aliens?

I firmly believe aliens planted the picked up lots of people here, just to drive us bonkers lol
if he isnt on the 1930 census, given what his age would have been, he was probably dead...now whether he died when the planet tatooine blew up...who's to say
and then....I could be full of crap because this is him isnt it? (right name, right age, right wife, and I can match Clara although she appears to be married to a Charles Darby) cobb county, austell district

Howdy, neighbor!
Next time you see a Huey in a Cobb Cemetery, snap a photo for me, please. I have most of the Cherokee Cemeteries covered, but I don't go down to Cobb that often.

Nope. I have Biblio-Narcolepsy. Whenever I go to a library, after ten minutes, I fall asleep...

We'd make a great team. You barricaded in the library with piles and piles of books and me running around in cemeteries all over the county. No stone would be unturned!
Now, if there was only a way to make money doing it.

Found him!
John Calhoun Huey
born 4 May 1861 in Cherokee County, GA
died Jan 13 1951 in Cleburne County, AL
Buried in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Heflin, AL
Married once (not twice) to Martha Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hawkins.
Looks like he moved to the Heflin, AL area with part of his family some time after the 1930 census was taken. I'll bet he shows up on the 1940 Census in Cleburne County, AL.
