Are there any WADE researchers out there? We are trying to find the parents of Henry and Temperance (Tempe) from the Franklin Co and Habersham Co GA area. Henry abt. 1795 in NC (per Census records and don't know where) and Tempe JORDAN abt. 1795 in SC. They were married in Franklin Co, GA., 17 Aug 1815. Children included William L.B. "Billy" b. 1819, Edith Matilda, b. 1820, Martha Armindie b. 1823, Henry S.M. b. 1825, Rainey J. b. 1826 (my g-grandfather), Charles Newton b. 1833, Willis H. b. 1835, Leanne Emiline b. 1841, and Charlotte b. 1843.

Henry served in the War of 1812 and according to his pension records was considered disabled. We also have infomation that he had his left leg amputated below the knee.

There are a lot of deeds where the name Nathanial Wade appears as a witness for and with Henry. We also have documentation that Henry was named executor of estate for Nathanial.

Just recently discovered in the 1820 Census for Habersham Co, GA that Henry is living next to an Asa JORDAN, possibly relatives of Tempe. What is interesting about this Census, for Henry's family, it shows 1 Foreigner/Un-naturalized person and for Asa's family, it shows 2 Foreigner/Un-Naturalized people.

there is an ASA JORDAN listed here and this is my JORDAN line..

this gentleman, MR DUGGAN has spent many hours researching and it turns out ( he explained it to me ) the twice removed cousin thingy..both sides of my family line, wiggins and jordan.
