H. LINDMARK DIES SUDDENLY

Retired Farmer Stricken by Fatal Heart Attack in His Yard Easter Sunday.

Herman Lindmark, 81, dropped dead in the yard of his home in Boone late Easter Sunday afternoon of a heart attack. Mr Lindmark, a retired farmer, lived at 1310 Boone street.

He had not been in good health for some time but had not been bedfast. He apparentaly felt all right Sunday afternoon and started to walk out in the yard when he suffered the attack and died.

Mr Lindmark, a native of Sweden, had made his home neat Boone for many years, retiring three or four years ago to move into the city to be near his family. He is survived by his wife, four sons and four daughters, all of whom linve in or near Boone. They are Albert W., G. C., Roy and Fred A. and Mesdames Clem Ferguson, W. Reed, Frank Wilson and Mike Jordan, besides other relatives.

To the family goes the deepest sympathy of many friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home and at 2:30 o'clock from the Mineral Ridge Baptist church with the Rev. Chas. Bryden in charge of the services. Burial will be at the Mineral Ridge cemetery. The body will be taken to the home Monday evening.

H. LINDMARK RITES HELD IN HOME, CHURCH

Deceased Was Native of Sweden, Coming to America When Young Man to Live on Farm.
Funeral services for the late Herman Lindmark were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home wheere short services were held and 2:30 from the Baptist church in Mineral Ridge with the Rev. C. E. Bryden in charge and Rev. Hammond, of Lake City, former pastor of the church, assisting.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Charles Good, Mr and Mrs. H. Woolhiser and Wm. Pollard, who sang, "The Old Rugged Cross", "Going Down the Valley", and "Ther's No Diappointment in Heaven". Ther were accopanied at the piano by Mrs. Virgil Sturtz.

Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased: Darrel Wilson, Marvin and Raymond Lindmark, Melvin Reed, and Harold and Glenn Ferguson. Those in charge of the many floral tributes were Lillian and Lloyd Jacobson, Neva Mann, Vincent Hendricks and Mr. and Mrs. Walker Wilson. Interment was at the Mineral Ridge cemetery.

Native of Sweden

The life sketch follows:
Herman Lindmark, son of Mr and Mrs. Carl Lindmarks, was born April 21, 1857 in Lindkoping OsterGatland, Weden and separted this life in his home at 1310 Boone street, Boone, Iowa Aril 9, 1939, at the age of 81 years, 11 months, and nine days.

He came to America when a young man and settled on a fram in Dodge township, Boone county, Iowa.

He was united in marriage September 16, 1880 to Miss Wlizabeth Baker of Dodge Township. To this union was born four sons and four daughters: G. C. Lindmark, A.W. Lindmark, Fred Lindmark, Roy Lindmark, Mrs. J.C. Ferguson, Mrs. Mike Jordon, Mrs. F.L. Wilson and Mrs Walter L. Reed, all of whom live in or near Boone. Besides raising his own children he practically raised three grandchildren.

Church Member

He was baptized and confirmed when a youth in the Swedish Lutheran church in Sweden, but after coming to America he attended and supported the Baptist church at Mineral Ridge near where he lived.

He was a kind and loving husband and father. He moved to town about 15 years ago where he has resided until called to his home above.

He leaves to mourn his departure, besides his beloved wife and children, 30 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends without number.

Attended Rites

Those attending the funeral from out of town were Mr and Mrs. Ivan Fetzer of Waterloo, Mrs. Rudy Eldien, Troy, MO, Mr and Mrs N. A. Lindell of Kansas City, Mo., Mr an Mrs. Brewer Leonard, Armour, S.D., and Ruth Garvey of Nevada, Iowa.

Two grandchildren who did not attend the funeral were: Mrs Hazel Waltz of Santa Monica, Call., and Mrs. Bill Boylan of Alexander, Minn.
