The main thing on my wish list right now would be to find the parents of my g-g-grandmother, Martha Swan McCann. Martha was born in Tyler Co. (W) Virginia in about 1826, and married John McCann in 1849. Legend has it that 'all' Swans in Tyler County are descendants of Charles Swan, who was born in England in served in the Rev. War. and received a land grant in Tyler Co. He and his wife Catherine Goyer had at least 8 children, four boys and four girls. For many years I have been hoping to find that one of those boys might be Martha's father or grandfather.
