Hello all,

I am looking for information on my Great, Great Grandfather, James Allen Redding. He was born in Georgia in 1824 (probably in Baldwin County) and lived in Harris, Muscogee, Chattahoochee and Clay Counties. The last record I found on him was a newspaper article in 1882 stating that both he and his son had survived a cyclone when he lived in Cotton Hill, Georgia. His father was Parham Duncan Redding who was killed in the same cyclone. He married Caroline P. Davis 26 Nov 1846 in Muscogee County, GA. I am looking for any source that can confirm birth and death information. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
