I am looking for information on Theodore E Wells b. May 30, 1903 d. May 18, 1961 Parents are
Ida Green & Wilber Wells.
Theodore was the youngest of a family of many. The 1920 census states that Theodore was born
in Illinois, I have nothing to verify that information. Theodore grew up in Clinton County,
Clinton, Iowa. In 1920 he is listed as living with his Mother Ida and Stepfather Victor Swansons.
Theodore was married to Lyla L Wells, I have no other information on their marriage.
Lyla was b March 2, 1906 and d January 11, 1960
Any information on Theodore would be great! I am trying to find out if Theodore & Lyla
had any children. I
also know that Thedore was in the Army reserves and served in the WWII war. I know
that Theodore died in a VA hospital in Iowa, City, Iowa. I can not find an obituary for him.
Theodore had an affair with my Grandmother when she was only 14 years old.

I hope this is all but I am sure I will remember something that I forgot to add. Please overlook
any spelling errors. This subject makes me real emotional because I had promised my
Dad I would find out everything I could about the man that was his Father. I only wish I could
have found out all this information while my Dad was still alive.

If you know when he died and where he was buried, you could try to get death certificate (might have Theodore's parents names). And if anyone maintains cemetary or mortuary records, they may be able to tell you who paid for the gravesite or funeral, and get the name of a descendant that way.
I just did that today to get the name of a living cousin we were trying to find as no one remembered her married name, and it was in the record books at the cemetary.

Since your father has passed ( by the way I am sorry to hear that ) you can apply for your grandfathers military records for free. That always has a wealth of info you would not otherwise have.
