Carol Sue Awtrey Harris April 30, 1942- February 21, 2008 SHILOH, GA— Carol Sue Awtrey Harris, 65, of Shiloh died Thursday, February 21, 2008 at her home. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Monday, February 25, 2008 at the chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Manchester with Rev. Dan McMinn officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Mrs. Harris was born April 30, 1942 in Griffin, the daughter of Samuel Elijah Awtrey and Hattie O'Leta Simmons Awtrey. She was the widow of Donald R. Harris and was a member of Gilliad Baptist Church, Griffin. Mrs. Harris was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Survivors include two daughters, Gina Leverett Elmore or Manchester and a son-in-law, Mark Elmore of LaGrange and Leta Raines and her fiancee, Marcello Horton of Shiloh; one son, James Buddy Leverett and his wife, Lynn of Junction City; one brother, James Awtrey; one sister, Ann Shedd of Greenville; a special friend, Gloria Gilboy of Greenville; and six grandchildren, David, Chanda, Tristan, Katie, Brionna and Luke.
