J.C. Lee, 83, of Paris died Wednesday, March 10, 2004, in his home. He was a member of Midway Assembly of God and served four years in the Army during World War II in northern France, earning the Bronze Star and a Good Conduct medal for his service there. Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Sadie Horn Lee; two brothers, Arlis and Leon Lee; and a sister, Loreen Lee.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Midway Assembly of God with burial at Horn Cemetery in Midway under the direction of Murry Funeral Home of Paris. Pallbearers will be James C. Jones, Kenny, Kevin and Nick Hughes, Mitchell Jones, Curtis Varnell and Art and Jimmy Carter.
Mr. Lee is survived by his wife, Erma F. Jones Lee of Paris; two daughters, Sharon Fly of Stilwell, Okla., and Patty Hamilton of Fort Smith; a son, Bill Lee of Fresno, Calif.; a sister, Rosie Bradley of Las Vegas; five brothers, Fay of Paris, Russell of Oklahoma City, Junior of Las Vegas and James and Kenneth, both of Ventura, Calif.; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
